ANDREW KWAN ARTISTS MANAGEMENT INC.
Founded in 1991, Andrew Kwan Artists Management Inc. (AKAM) is a Canadian management agency specialising in career development, artist promotion and public performance arrangements for the represented artists. Representing many of Canada's finest musicians, it remains the philosophy that AKAM represents artists of the highest calibre, and is totally committed to the nurturing of these artists. In addition to the managerial services, AKAM is involved with concert series production, artistic administration, tour logistics as well as artist promotion and event media relations.
Andrew Kwan Artists Management gratefully acknowledges the support from The Canada Council for the Arts which last year invested $26.3 million in music throughout Canada. The Artists Representative position is partially funded through the Cultural Human Resources Council’s Career Focus Program.

ANDREW J. KWAN, B.A., ARCT, FTCL, FCSI
DIRECTOR
In addition to his management firm, Andrew J. Kwan has served as an advisor or panelist to arts councils across Canada, at both the provincial and federal levels. He also enjoys being an educator on the subject of career development for young artists. In Canada, he has been invited to present workshops at many provincial conferences, professional seminars as well as lecture at various universities. Internationally, he has been invited to hold workshops in Ohio, California and in June 2002, at the European Access Symposium in Brussels. In 2005, Andrew advised and contributed to The Canada Council’s on-line publication artsontour.ca, a guide for touring artists and concert presenters.
Mr. Kwan has been on faculty at The Glenn Gould School of The Royal Conservatory, Toronto since 1996. At the GGS, he offers courses on Career Management and Communications. Mr. Kwan is also a Graduate Level lecturer at the Faculty of Music, University of Toronto.
Prior to entering the artists management industry, Mr. Kwan held a business administrative position at The Royal Conservatory of Music and as a financial analyst in Toronto. Mr. Kwan holds a B.A. in Economics, as well as a Non-Profit Management & Leadership Diploma, both from York University. He also holds diplomas in piano performance from The Royal Conservatory of Music and Trinity College (London, England) whereby he is a fellow of the College.
ERIN CROOKS, B. Mus., Art Dip., M. Mus.
ARTIST REPRESENTATIVE
Erin Crooks received her Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Toronto where she studied under the tutalege of Dr. Darryl Edwards. Prior to her master’s, Erin completed an Artist Diploma at the University of Toronto and received a Bachelor of Music from Dalhousie University.
This past year, Erin was the administrative manager for the Centre for Opera Studies in Italy and manager for Darryl Edwards’ Concert Opera Group. She has also worked with the VIVA! Youth Choirs, Heather Young & Assoc., and as administrator for various artists and ensembles. Through last year's mentorship program hosted by Ontario's CCI presenting network, Erin was this agency's recipient and attended the Ontario Contact conference. Her current position with AKAM is partially funded through the Career Focus Program of The Cultural Human Resources Council, Ottawa.
