ANDREW KWAN ARTISTS MANAGEMENT INC.
Founded in 1991, Andrew Kwan Artists Management Inc. (AKAM) is a Canadian management agency specialising in career development, artist promotion and public performance arrangements for the represented artists. Representing many of Canada's finest musicians, it remains the philosophy that AKAM represents artists of the highest calibre, and is totally committed to the nurturing of these artists. In addition to the managerial services, AKAM is involved with concert series production, artistic administration, tour logistics as well as artist promotion and event media relations.
Andrew Kwan Artists Management gratefully acknowledges the support from The Canada Council for the Arts which last year invested $26.3 million in music throughout Canada. The Artists Representative position is partially funded through the Cultural Human Resources Council’s Career Focus Program.

ANDREW J. KWAN, B.A., ARCT, FTCL, FCSI
DIRECTOR
In addition to his agency, Mr. Kwan has presented workshops and professional development seminars on the topics of marketing and organizational development. Internationally, he has given workshops in Ohio, California and in June 2002, at the European Access Symposium in Brussels. In 2005, Andrew advised and contributed to The Canada Council’s on-line publication artsontour.ca, a guide for touring artists and concert presenters.
He also enjoys being an educator on the subject of career development for young artists and has presented lectures at various universities across Canada. Since 1996, Mr. Kwan has been on faculty of The Royal Conservatory’s Glenn Gould School where he offers courses on Career Management and Communications. He is also an Associate Member of the Graduate Faculty at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Music.
Mr. Kwan has been a juror for the Canadian Music Competition, E-gré Music Competition, Kiwanis competitions, The Glenn Gould School Concerto Competition, various scholarships and awards and has frequently served as advisor and juror for various arts councils such as the Canada Council for the Arts and the Ontario Arts Council.
Mr. Kwan holds a B.A. in Economics, as well as a Non-Profit Management & Leadership Diploma, both from York University. He also completed his Fellowship from the Canadian Securities Institute. In music, Andrew holds an ARCT in piano performance from The Royal Conservatory and the designation of LTCL and FTCL from Trinity College, London, England.
ERIN SPARKS, B. Mus., Art Dip., M. Mus.
ARTIST REPRESENTATIVE
Erin Sparks received her Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Toronto where she studied under the tutalege of Dr. Darryl Edwards. Prior to her masters, Erin completed an Artist Diploma at the University of Toronto and received a Bachelor of Music from Dalhousie University.
Erin has worked as an administrator for the Centre for Opera Studies in Italy and as manager for Darryl Edwards’ Concert Opera Group. She has also worked with the VIVA! Youth Choirs, Heather Young & Assoc. and as administrator for various artists and ensembles. Through the 2008 mentorship program hosted by Ontario's CCI presenting network, Erin was this agency's recipient and attended the Ontario Contact conference. Erin has worked as a full-time artist representative with AKAM since the fall of 2009.
